Dextrose: Better known today as glucose, this sugar is the chief source of energy in the body. Glucose is chemically considered a simple sugar. It is the main sugar that the body manufactures. The body makes glucose from all three elements of food, protein, fat and carbohydrates, but in largest part from carbohydrates. Glucose serves as the major source of energy for living cells. It is carried to each cell through the bloodstream. The cells cannot, however, use the glucose without the help of insulin. When sampled in blood, glucose is tested in transit. Dextrose, commonly called glucose, d-glucose, or blood sugar, occurs naturally in food, and is moderately sweet. It is a monosaccharide (basic unit of carbohydrates, C6H1206) and has a high glycemic index (digested carbohydrates ability to raise blood glucose levels, also called Gl) ranking at 100.
Cornstarch, or corn flour, is the starch of the maize grain, commonly known as corn. It is also ground from the endosperm, or white heart, of the corn kernel. It has a distinctive appearance and feel when mixed raw with water or milk, giving easily to gentle pressure but resisting sudden pressure (see Non-Newtonian fluid). It is usually included as an anti-caking agent in powdered sugar (10X or confectioner's sugar). For this reason, recipes calling for powdered sugar often call for at least light cooking to remove the raw cornstarch taste.
Silicon dioxide: The chemical compound silicon dioxide, also known as silica or silox (from the Latin "silex"), is the oxide of silicon, chemical formula SiO2, and has been known for its hardness since the 16th century. It is a principal component of most types of glass and substances such as concrete. The natural ("native") oxide coating that grows on silicon is hugely beneficial in microelectronics. It is a superior electric insulator, possessing high chemical stability. In electrical applications, it can protect the silicon, store charge, block current, and even act as a controlled pathway to allow small currents to flow through a device. At room temperature, however, it grows extremely slowly, and so to manufacture such oxide layers on silicon, the traditional method has been the deliberate heating of silicon in high temperature furnaces within an oxygen ambient (thermal oxidation)

Although certain products may not include peanuts, ALL our nut products are manufactured in a facility where peanuts are
processed. However, our Freeze Dried Fruit Chips and Premium Crispy Fruit and Veggie Chips are free of peanut, and are manufactured in a peanut-free facility.
IS THE PRODUCT ACTUALLY MADE IN THE US WITH US INGREDIENTS?
No, we ship our raw materials to China from USA and they are packaged in China and brought back to USA.
WHAT EFFORT DOES MRS. MAY'S MAKE TO OVERSEE THE PRODUCTION?
Mrs. Mays have HACCP and BRC which is on our website. These are a third party certificate that is recognized worldwide.
HOW CAN WE BE SURE THAT MRS. MAY'S IS SAFE?
We understand your concern about the food safety, and we would like to share the following information with you.
Our factory in China is HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) by US agency & BRC certified UK agency. HACCP, BRC & Kosher inspect our factory twice a year and each organization also performs random unannounced inspections at our factory. Our current customers like Costco, BJ's Wholesale and Whole Foods Markets have very high standards on what they carry and sell to its members. You can rest assure that all of our products are safe to consume. Our products are "dairy free" Our products are also tested randomly by FDA and has always passed the inspection.
Food safety and quality is our top priority. Our Quality Assurance Department goes through raw materials sorting through every batch and metal detection as well. We have a X-Ray machine equipped to eliminate any foreign objects introduced into our products. We also had voluntary Social Audit at our facility as well.
